Little Life, How Did You Be So Lucky?

Short and sweet, reminiscent of the great Karen Dalton, Vashti Bunyan, and Jolie Holland.

This album in particular is very folky with simple vocals, while her other albums have more experimental jazz vocals with more complex instrumentation.

This album is by far my favorite right now though because of its simplicity and the loveliness of her voice which just calls out to the little kid in me.

in the shadow of the living room

Apparently Reaching Quiet is Why? and Odd Nosdam, and it is like cLoudead, and like early WHY? (which is a lot more experimental and hip-hop-ish compared to the newer poppier sounds), so it came out kind of amazing for what it is. The songs are shorter and choppy, but it still flows from one to the next seamlessly. This album makes me happy, something like everything I ever want out of WHY? when I listen to them. Which, for anyone who doesn't have WHY? but likes this, makes me feel like I should also put my favorite WHY? album on here too. Mmmm... music.

"NO HOPE KIDS"

Japanther-ish awesomeness, occasional psychedelic nonsense, altogether one of my favorite bands since I first listened to them. Great videos too! ----> WAVVES!
